Cari lettori,

vi propongo una “recensione flash” su un film che ha ottenuto molto successo quest’anno e che, grazie specialmente all’Oscar 2013 come “Miglior film”, è stato riproposto nelle sale cinematografiche milanesi nonostante sia già uscito in DVD.

Le regia è del bravo e, devo dire, maturo Ben Affleck che unendo competenza, capacità e un tema tanto americano, è riuscito a fare breccia sia ai Golden Globe sia agli Oscar 2013.

Carissimi lettori, mi dedico in questo post alla notte degli Oscar 2013, tenutasi ieri, indicandovi i principali vincitori.

Sono felicissima per Quentin Tarantino che si è davvero meritato il premio alla Miglior Sceneggiatura Originale per il fantastico DJango Unchained (di cui ho scritto la recensione) e per la giovanissima , 22anni, Jennifer Lawrence che ha bissato il premio come Miglior Attrice protagonista (aveva preso lo stesso premio “Miglior attrice in un film commedia o musicale” ai Golden Globe di quest’anno) e ha iniziato splendidamente una carriera di sicuro promettente ( ricordo le sue interpretazioni oltre che nel commerciale “Hunger Games”, nel bellissimo “The burning plane” al fianco di Charlize Theron e Kim Basinger).

Meno soddisfatta invece del premio per la Miglior Regia ad Ang Lee per un film che ho trovato, personalmente, preannunciante di una morale dalla ampia portata che viene invece sfumata dall’eccessiva favola raccontata e realizzato, per la maggior parte, a computer…io amo di gran lunga i film più tradizionali.

Fiera di aver azzeccato che “Lincoln” avrebbe preso solo (a parte dei premi tecnici) il premio come Miglior attore protagonista a Daniel Day Lewis e che il musical “Les Misérables” non avrebbe riscosso il successo preannunciato (d’altronde non è figlio di Hollywood e della macchina patinata e colorata tipica dei suoi musical).

Menzione a parte va al Miglior Film Straniero di Haneke, “Amour” (da “Funny Games” ho riconosciuto la sua genialità) e al mitico “Christoph Waltz” e alla sua indimenticabile interpretazione del Dottor Schultz in “Django Unchained”…Miglior attore NON (ne siamo proprio sicuri?) protagonista.

Dear readers, I decided to write this post all about the 2013 Oscars - that took place yesterday night - adding also the winners.
I’m so happy for Quentin Tarantino, he totally deserved to win the Best Original Screenplay award for the amazing DJangoUnchained (I wrote a review about it) and the young, 22-year old Jennifer Lawrence, who won the Best Actress in a Leading Role award for the 2nd time (she won the “Best Actress – Motion Picture Musical or Comedy” award at this year’s Golden Globes) and who started an amazing career that will become even better (I remember her roles in the commercial movie “Hunger Games” and the beautiful “The burning plane” with Charlize Theron and Kim Basinger).

I’m not so happy about the Best Director award to Ang Lee, for a movie that I personally found interesting in the beginning (it looked like it was going to be about morality) but that faded into a fairytale told through a computer…I actually prefer classic movies.
I’m proud that I predicted that “Lincoln” would have won only one award (apart from the technical ones): it was the Best Actor in a Leading Role for Daniel Day Lewis. And also,   “Les Misérables” wasn’t that successful – in fact, it didn’t come out of the Hollywood musical “machine”. I have to mention “Amour” by “Haneke” (i immediately noticed him in “Funny Games”) and the amazing “Christoph Waltz” and his role as Dottor Schultz in “Django Unchained”…Best Actor in a Supporting (are we sure of that?) Role.

Robert Zemeckis ci offre, dopo 12 anni che mancava dalla scena con una pellicola in live action, un film drammatico e forte, profondo e vero che ci cattura con una storia tanto amara quanto toccante.

Whip Whitaker è un comandante di volo molto esperto, con una passione radicata per il volo che, forse, lo ha condotto a una vita di solitudine in cui l’unica “scelta” che trova plausibile è dedicarsi a un’amica che è sempre pronta a dissetarlo, a farlo viaggiare anche con la mente e che, discretamente, non gli fa mai domande: la bottiglia.

Golden Globe 2013!

Carissimi lettori,

ecco un mini post su un evento importante del Cinema come i Golden Globe 2013; premiazione annuale che precede i fantomatici Oscar e che, spesso, o preannuncia i vincitori della famosa statuetta dorata o premia le pellicole che più se lo meritano ma che sono troppo poco commerciali per gli Oscar stessi…e quest’anno, come è andata? Non ho avuto occasione di vedere tutti i film che hanno vinto, alcuni perché non ancora usciti, ma ho un commento a caldo personale su quasi tutti. Qui sotto vi riporto i vincitori delle categorie più importanti con breve e spero incisivo commento a riguardo, più le locandine di ogni pellicola. A breve uscirà un terzetto anche…dovete scusarmi ma l’Università mi tiene molto impegnata…esami tremendi!

Spero questo piccolo articolo vi piaccia e vi sia utile soprattutto! Guardate i film e commentate dicendo se, secondo voi, hanno meritato il premio!

MIGLIOR FILM DRAMMATICO: “Argo” di Ben Affleck

MIGLIOR REGIA: “Argo” di Ben Affleck. Di sicuro un bel film, fatto bene, su una storia tanto vera, quanto incredibile…è il tocco troppo “americano”, che proprio tocco non è, ma anzi bello marcato, a renderlo, a mio parere, troppo scontato. Un Ben Affleck molto maturo comunque e una scelta di cast accurata.

MIGLIOR FILM COMMEDIA O MUSICALE: “Les Misèrables” di Tom Hooper. Non l’ho visto anche perché non vado pazza per il genere. Bravo senza dubbio Hugh Jackman che, anche nella vita come si può percepire dalle interviste, è una persona vera; complimenti anche a Anne Hathaway che non mi colpisce particolarmente come donna ma devo dire che è davvero capace…per me una nuova Julia Roberts.

MIGLIOR ATTORE IN UN FILM DRAMMATICO: “Lincoln” a Daniel Day-Lewis. Di sicuro vedrò la pellicola, sia per l’argomento, sia per il cast…MITICO Daniel Day-Lewis, unico davvero, si merita tutti i premi possibili.

MIGLIOR ATTORE IN UN FILM COMMEDIA O MUSICALE: “Les Misèrables” a Hugh Jackman

MIGLIOR ATTRICE IN UN FILM DRAMMATICO: “Zero Dark Thirty” a Jessica Chastain. Attrice lei molto brava secondo me; la ricordo con affetto nel bellissimo film dell’anno scorso “The Help”, interpretazione azzeccata e tanto cuore.

MIGLIOR ATTRICE IN UN FILM COMMEDIA O MUSICALE: “Il lato positivo” a Jennifer Lawrence. La commedia a mio parere è uno dei generi più difficoltosi da affrontare; “Una buona commedia” è un bel sogno per un regista; vedrò questo film e vi saprò dire. Complimenti alla Lawrence intanto che, dopo “Hunger Games” e, prima, “The burning plain”, comincia la sua ascesa…come è giusto: viva la gioventù!

MIGLIOR ATTORE NON PROTAGONISTA: “DJango Unchained” a Christoph Waltz. Non dico nulla…un attore di teatro capace di dare vita alla premiata e ci scommetto (non ho ancora visto il film) mitica, come sempre, sceneggiatura di Tarantino.

MIGLIOR ATTRICE NON PROTAGONISTA: “Les Misèrable” a Anne Hathaway

MIGLIOR SCENEGGIATURA: “DJango Unchained” a Quentin Tarantino. The best.

MIGLIOR FILM STRANIERO: “Amour” di Michael Haneke. Di lui anche “Funny Games”…un regista importante che va apprezzato con intelligenza e molta attenzione.

here's a short post about an important movie event: the 2013 Golden Globes. They come every year before the Oscars and often preannounce the actors or movies that will get the golden awards; or just those that are not commercial enough for the Oscars. But what about this year's winners? I haven't watched all the movies that won, mainly because they're not out yet. But I have something to say about each one of them.

Down here, you'll find the winners for the most relevant categories and a short - and I hope significant as well - comment about them; and the posters as well. You'll be soon able to read about a new trio...I'm sorry but finals are killing me this year!

PICTURE, DRAMA: “Argo”, by Ben Affleck

DIRECTOR: Ben Affleck, for "Argo". A really good and well-done movie, with an amazing and realistic story. It's a bit too "Americanized" for what I like, this "touch" makes it too obvious. Anyway, Ben Affleck was really mature and chose a great cast.

PICTURE, MUSICAL OR COMEDY: “Les Misèrables”, by Tom Hooper. I haven't watched it because I don't really like musicals. Hugh Jackman was really good, and he's also a nice guy in real life as well - as you can see from the interviews. Props to Anne Hathaway: I'm not that impressed with her as a woman, but I think she's really talented...the new Julia Roberts.

ACTOR, DRAMA: Daniel Day-Lewis, for "Lincoln". I'm gonna watch this movie for sure, both for the subject and the cast...an AWESOME Daniel Day-Lewis, he's so great he deserves every award on this earth.

ACTOR, MUSICAL OR COMEDY: Hugh Jackman, for "Les Misèrables".

ACTRESS, DRAMA: Jessica Chastain, for “Zero Dark Thirty”. I think she's a great actress, and I remember her from last year's movie “The Help”. Great acting and lots of emotions.

ACTRESS, MUSICAL OR COMEDY: Jennifer Lawrence, for "Silver Linings Playbook". In my opinion, comedy is one of the hardest genres ever; "a good comedy" is every director's dream, so I'm gonna watch this movie and then tell you what I think about it. Congratulations to Lawrence that, after the “Hunger Games” and “The burning plain”, is starting her rise...and it's all good: go young people!

SUPPORTING ACTOR: Christoph Waltz, for "DJango Unchained". I don't wanna sat anything about it..a theatre actor that was able to give justice to the awarded and (even if I've not watched the movie yet) amazing screenplay by Tarantino.

SUPPORTING ACTRESS: Anne Hathaway, for "Les Misèrables".

SCREENPLAY: Quentin Tarantino, for "DJango Unchained". The best.

FOREIGN LANGUAGE: “Amour”, by Michael Haneke. We know him from “Funny Games”…an important director that deserves to be appreciated, with intelligence and attention.
